About Us
The Panhandle Lodge 83 Fraternal Order of Police was chartered in 1937, and serves Morgan, Berkeley, and Jefferson counties located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Our Lodge currently does not have a physical building to call our home. We are a subordinate lodge under the West Virginia State Lodge, which is a subordinate lodge under the Grand Lodge of the FOP.
One of our greatest accomplishments and something that we all look forward to each year is our annual Santa With A Badge event. Each year our lodge helps provide a Christmas to 100 disadvantage children from our Tri-County area. Depending on the amount of funds available, we take children Christmas shopping at a local business that sponsors our event. Our members meet the children on a Saturday morning before Christmas and help escort them through the store to spend their money. This is a great way for our organization to help build positive community relationships with our citizens. Hopefully, this will have a lasting impact on the children's lives to give them a life long positive attitude towards the officers that help protect them and their community.
We are non-profit organization and appreciate any donations you would like to provide. Please contact one of the officers to request additional information if you are interested in making a donation to help ensure we can continue this tradition.
